Intolerants Rant: Valentine’s Day Love for Cairo

I know I come down hard on Cairo: she can often be too noisy, too crowded, too polluted, too…unrefined for my taste. My roller coaster relationship with MENA’s most populous city has been one hell of a ride, and though I look forward to moving on and starting off fresh, I do feel a bit saddened at the thought of leaving this thorn in my side behind.

And so, here’s a little photo tribute to you, dearest Cairo. Though I’ve b*tched and complained so many times, you know I’ll miss you – just a little bit – when I’m gone.

  1. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I, too, remember feeling a little nostalgic about leaving the thorn in my side.

    1. To you as well! I’m totally in that phase of feeling all nostalgic about Cairo even though…well…you know. 😉

  2. I am so jealous you’ve gotten to visit Cairo, even if it is loud and crowded!! Visiting Egypt has always been a dream of mine.

    1. Thanks for your comment. I sometimes think visiting Cairo would have a been a bit easier on my psyche than living here, which has provided a whole different perspective. Some of it good and some of it not so much. Popped by your blog btw and enjoyed. Look forward to reading more… 🙂
